• CBOT Announces the Launch of Short-Dated Options on New Crop Wheat Futures on September 4, 2012

    • On Tuesday, September 4, 2012, short-dated options on new crop CBOT Wheat futures will be added to the Exchange's option lineup. The options will be listed initially on the floor and will become available on CME Globex on September 9.

      CBOT launched short-dated new crop Corn and Soybean options on June 4, 2012. Market participants have utilized these new options to hedge against highly volatile new crop Corn and Soybean futures markets. Since launch, more than 40,000 contracts have traded.
