As reported in SER S-4797 issued on December 4, 2008 and SER-5277 issued on June 10, 2010, the level of vomitoxin allowed for par delivery in the CBOT Wheat futures contract will decrease from 3 parts per million (ppm) to 2 ppm beginning on the first delivery day of the September 2011 contract (Thursday, September 1, 2011). Wheat containing 3 ppm vomitoxin will continue to be deliverable at a 12 cents per bushel discount and wheat containing 4 ppm vomitoxin will continue to be deliverable at a 24 cents per bushel discount.
