Addition of December 2013 Contract Month for European Union Allowance (EUA) Futures (RC, 6T) and Option (AV, 6U) Contracts and Administrative Amendments to Existing Contracts

Effective Sunday, May 9, 2010 for trade date Monday, May 10, 2010, the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYMEX) will add the listing of the December 2013 contract month for the environmental products listed below.

The futures contracts are listed on CME Globex and CME ClearPort; the option contracts are listed on the NYMEX trading floor and CME ClearPort.

In addition, effective trade date Monday, May 10, 2010, NYMEX will implement amendments to Rules 868.01 and 850.01 for the European Union Allowance futures contracts. The rule amendments are provided below and are administrative and non-substantive in nature.

European Union Allowance (EUA) Futures

868.01              SCOPE

The provisions of these rules shall apply to all Phase 2008-2012 European Union EUA bought or sold for future delivery on the Exchange with the Delivery at the UK Emissions Trading Registry.

In Delivery Month European Union Allowance (EUA) Futures

850.01.             SCOPE

                        The provisions of these rules shall apply to all Phase 2008-2012 European Union EUAs bought or sold for future delivery on the Exchange with the Delivery at the UK Emissions Trading Registry.
