Upcoming Changes to NYMEX and COMEX Products

This notice addresses several changes to NYMEX and COMEX products, including:

·          Expansion of 5 Decimal NGL Contract Listings

·          Important Listing Rule Changes

·          Revision to the COMEX Silver Options and Copper Options Strike Listing Rules

·          De-listing of the 4 Decimal NGL Products

Expansion of 5 Decimal NGL Contract Listings

Effective Sunday, December 13, 2009 (trade date Monday, December 14), the listing rules for the following products will be changed to the current year plus the next 4 full years.  When the December contract of the current year terminates, a new full year will be added (annual roll).

In addition, effective Monday, December 14, 2009 (trade date Tuesday, December 15), the listing rules for the following products will be changed to the current year plus the next 3 full years.  When the December contract of the current year terminates, a new full year will be added (annual roll).

*Please be advised the listed contract months for the 5 DPL Natural Gas Liquid BALMOs are unchanged.

Important Listing Rule Changes

Effective Sunday, December 20, 2009 (trade date Monday, December 21), the listing rules for the following products will be changed to the current year plus the next 4 full years.  When the December contract of the current year terminates, a new full year will be added (annual roll).

·          European 1% Fuel Oil Rotterdam Calendar Swap (UH) – currently a rolling 36 months

·          European 1% Fuel Oil NWE Calendar Swap (Northwest Europe) (UF) – currently a rolling 52 months

·          European 3.5% Fuel Oil Rotterdam Calendar Swap (UV) – currently a rolling 52 months

Revision to the COMEX Silver Options and Copper Options Strike Listing Rules:

Effective Sunday, December 20, 2009 (trade date Monday, December 21), the listing rule for COMEX Silver Options and Copper Options strike prices will be revised to include (list is redundant) additional strike prices for all trading months, per the following:.

·          Silver Options -- the strike price increment will be a standard $.05.  Currently, price increments vary according to the futures price from $.10, $.25, and $.50.

·          Copper Options -- the strike increment is proposed to be $.01. Currently, price increments vary according to the futures price from $.01, $.02, and $.05.

In addition, the strike price listing will be expanded from six to twenty strike prices above and below the at-the-money option for the trading floor and Globex®.  For options to be cleared through CME Group ClearPort®, strikes can be added on an as needed basis, in addition to the regular contract listings.

De-listing of the 4 Decimal NGL Products

The last trade and EFP dates for all 4 Decimal Natural Gas Liquids (Swaps, APOs and BALMOs) will be Friday, December 18, 2009.  In addition, all 4 Decimal Natural Gas Liquids (swaps, APOs and BALMOs) will be delisted at the close of business on Friday, December 18, 2009.
