    • Commencing January 20, 2009, CME Globex Services will be contacting all 20 and 40mbps CME DIRECTLink Quote Vendors via email, to begin the process of replacing their existing 2821 Cisco routers with the higher capacity 6504 Cisco routers. The new   routers are designed to support the anticipated increases in market data messaging rates, resulting from:

       

      •               10-deep futures FIX/FAST market data, beginning in Q1 2009

      •               FIX/FAST migration from ITC (in parallel)

      •               3-deep options FIX/FAST market data expansion (Date to be determined)

       

      As a reminder, we ask all quote vendors to review their current bandwidth utilization.  Please contact your MDO Account Manager for assistance on upgrading your connectivity or to help with that analysis.
