NYMEX Carbon RGGI Emissions Futures and Options Product Launch August 25-26, 2008

NYMEX issued the following announcement on Wednesday, August 20, 2008:

Please be advised of the following upcoming NYMEX product launch to assist in product setup. 

Tentatively scheduled to launch for the August 25th trade date, NYMEX will be listing a new Emissions Futures Contract (Carbon RGGI Emissions – Globex® trading symbol: RGI, Clearing Code: RJ), on August 26 we will launch the related options contract (Carbon RGGI Emissions Options, Product Code: OR).  

The futures contract will be available for trading/trade submission on the Globex® and NYMEX ClearPort® Clearing electronic venues.  The Options Contract will be available on the NYMEX Floor and  NYMEX ClearPort® Clearing.  Please note that only a single contract month (December 2009) will be listed initially.
