    • As a reminder, the termination of trading day and settlement day for European CAT Monthly and Seasonal Strip Futures and Options contracts was changed last October 22, 2007. With the upcoming expiration of the first of the 2008 CAT contracts, the rule for termination of trading day and settlement day for these contracts has changed as follows:
       
      Futures trading shall terminate at 9:00 a.m. Chicago time, and the final settlement price will be
      determined on the first Exchange business day that is at least five (previously two) calendar days
      after the futures contract month. 
       
      Contracts Expiring Under the “Old” Expiration Rule
       
      To eliminate confusion, the following European Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contracts will expire on Friday, May 2, 2008, under the “old” expiration rules (the first Exchange business day that is at least two (2) calendar days after the futures contract month):
       
      ·          D0H – London Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          D1H – Paris Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          D2H – Amsterdam Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          D3H – Berlin Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          D4H – Essen Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          D5H – Stockholm Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          D8H – Barcelona Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          D9H – Rome Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
      ·          DQH – Madrid Heating Degree Day Seasonal Strip contract
       
      Contracts Expiring Under the “New” Expiration Rule
       
      The following European CAT contracts will expire under the new expiration rule (the first Exchange business day that is at least five (5) calendar days after the futures contract month) on Monday, May 5, 2008:
       
      ·          G0 – London CAT monthly contract
      ·          G1 – Paris CAT monthly contract
      ·          G2 – Amsterdam CAT monthly contract
      ·          G3 – Berlin CAT monthly contract
      ·          G4 – Essen CAT monthly contract
      ·          G5 – Stockholm CAT monthly contract
      ·          G8 - Barcelona CAT monthly contract
      ·          G9 – Rome CAT monthly contract
      ·          GQ – Madrid CAT monthly contract
