The following functionality will be deployed to CME SDR, in production, at the close of US business on Friday October 17th . This functionality currently exists within our New Release environment. The changes described below all pertain to optional fields that are meant to facilitate the CFTC’s data harmonization efforts across SDRs.
Additions to CSV Submission Fields
This field represents the entity classification of the reporting counterparty. A value of “NFE” will now be available for specification within this field. On a given trade, this new value is to be used to specify that the reporting counterparty is a Non-Financial Entity. The full list of valid values for this field are now “SD”, “MSP”, “FE” and “NFE” which respectively denote “Swap Dealer”, “Major Swap Participant” , “Financial Entity” and “Non Financial Entity” classifications. If this field is not applicable it should remain blank.
