Contingency Plan for Extended Weekend Trading Hours on CME Globex

Please note that CME Group is currently considering contingency plans for extended trading hours for energy products on ClearPort and CME Globex, due to the potential impact of Hurricane Ike on the U.S. Gulf Coast this coming weekend.

No later than 12:00 p.m. Central time (CT) on Thursday, September 11, CME Group will definitively announce whether extended trading hours will be supported on ClearPort and CME Globex for energy products on Saturday and Sunday, September 13-14.

If trading hours are extended, the anticipated ClearPort and CME Globex trading schedule for NYMEX energy products only would be:

• Pre-open on CME Globex on Saturday, September 13, at 8:00 a.m. CT for trade date Monday, September 15
• Open at 8:30 a.m. CT
• Market halt from 4:15 - 5:00 p.m. CT on Saturday and Sunday
• Regularly scheduled close on Monday at 4:15 p.m. CT

All other products listed on CME Globex for trading will follow their regularly scheduled trading hours.
