      CME ClearPort API ID Management

In November 2014, CME ClearPort API introduced user self-management of profile and ID information. If you have not created your SMART Click profile and API ID(s), please do so immediately using the SMART Click’s API ID Management functionality. Once your ID is created, contact Enterprise Application & System Entitlements (EASE) to entitle the IDs for New Release, Production and Certification environments.

Legacy CME ClearPort API access will be supported through March 2015 as follows:

      • New Release: March 4. 2015
      • Production: March 13, 2015

Please note: Legacy IDs cannot be used at the new URLs and new IDs cannot be used with legacy URLs.

      With this change:

      • CME ClearPort API ID password changes will only be supported via SMART Click’s API ID Management functionality by the SMART Click user who owns the API ID.
        • Password changes via FIXML messaging over the API will not be allowed.
      • Ownership of an API ID may be transferred from the API ID creator to another SMART Click user at the same firm.
        • New owner must know the API ID and password to effect the change
      • CME ClearPort API passwords managed through SMART Click will not expire
        • Currently, passwords expire every 90 days
