Starting in November 2014, CME ClearPort API will roll out user self-management of their profile and ID information. CME ClearPort API IDs will be managed via SMART Click, a secure web-based interface.

Create your SMART Click profile and API IDs now, using SMART Click’s API ID Management functionality. Once your ID is created, contact EASE to entitle the IDs for New Release, Production and Certification environments.

Starting in November, customers will be able to use their new SMART Click API IDs to access ClearPort at the new URLs listed below. Legacy access will be supported until 2015, watch the CME ClearPort Notices for more information on the migration.

Please note: legacy IDs cannot be used at the new URLs and new IDs cannot be used with legacy URLs.

This enhancement also supports:

• CME ClearPort API ID password changes will only be supported via SMART Click’s API ID Management functionality by the SMART Click user who owns the API ID.
  • Password changes via FIXML messaging over the API will not be allowed.
• Ownership of an API ID may be transferred from the API ID creator to another SMART Click user at the same firm.
  • New owner must know the API ID and password to effect the change
• CME ClearPort API passwords managed through SMART Click will not expire
  • Currently, passwords expire every 90 days
