Long Date Reporting – KC Wheat Changes:
Per Clearing Advisory 13-471, effective Monday, December 9, 2013, the KC Wheat (KW) contract will become a product of the Chicago Board of Trade. As of this date, the KW contract will be found under exchange “CBT” in the Deliveries Plus application. For CMFs utilizing FTP file uploads to report long dates, a separate “zero out” record for KW will no longer be required.

Please be reminded that pursuant to NYMEX Rule 984.A.4., when there is an agreement between the customer, the executing broker, and the customer’s clearing firm, all brokerage fees must be paid via BPS (Brokerage Payment System) for all transactions executed by a broker on behalf of the customer. This includes transactions executed in the open outcry market, on Globex, and on ClearPort.

November 29, 2013 marks the end of the 2013 BPS tax year for brokerage. The following 1099 processing schedule will be effective for the 2013 tax year:

Subject to regulatory review and approval and with consideration to any governmental shutdown, effective for start of business Monday, December 9, 2013, the Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat contract will have their DCM (Designated Contract Market) converted from Kansas City Board of Trade (KCB) to Chicago Board of Trade (CBT). Therefore, they will cease being products of the Kansas City Board of Trade, and begin being products of the Chicago Board of Trade. The affected products are:
· KW – KC Hard Red Winter Wheat Futures
· KW – KC Hard Red Winter Wheat Options on Futures
· KWO – KC Hard Red Winter Wheat Short-Dated New Crop Options
· OK1 through OK5 – KC Hard Red Winter Wheat Weekly Options
· KWS – KC Hard Red Winter Wheat Swaps
· MKW – MGEX-KC Wheat Inter-market spread Options
· KAW – AUD Hard Red Winter Wheat Swaps
