    • Please be reminded that the final deadline for converting to the CME Clearing combined SPAN® file is Friday, December 4, 2009.

       

      The last date that the separate CME/CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX SPAN files will be published, will be Thursday, December 3, 2009.

       

      The combined file contains settlement prices and SPAN margin parameters for COMEX, NYMEX, DME, CME and CBOT contracts, all in a single file.  Please note that margin results obtained via the new combined file will not be precisely equal to those obtained from the separate files, and for many portfolios, optimal results will be obtained by using the combined file.
