Legacy CBOT Firm, Broker and Delegate files to be discontinued on Monday, February 4, 2008

Please be advised that the legacy CBOT Firm, Broker and Delegate files will no longer be updated beginning next Monday, February 4, 2008.  Firms which may have used any of these legacy files in the past, should verify that they have switched to the CBOT Edit File.

 These legacy files have been available to all clearing firms in the PUB/EDIT directory on the Firm FTP Server.  Their filenames are cbt.firm.txt, cbt.broker.txt, and cbt.delegate.txt.  They will be published for the last time on the evening of Friday, February 1, 2008.  The February 1st files will then be left on the server for one month, and will be purged on Monday, March 3, 2008.

The replacement for the legacy files, is the CBOT Edit File, named cbt.edit.txt, in the same directory.  This is in the same format as the CME Edit File, named cme.edit.txt.  The layout for this file is at:  http://www.cme.com/files/s_editlayout.pdf
