FixML Conversion Fine Notice

The Clearing House is pleased to announce that a signigicant number of firms have currently converted from TREX to FixML for all their GAPI and electronic message processing.  We appreciate the commitment and effort put forth by firms that have converted and to those that expect to convert this month. 

In consideration of the fact that the deadline for converting to FixML for GAPI and electronic trade messaging was May 30 (after several extensions), the Clearing House will begin to assess a TREX maintenance fee to those firms that fail to convert by Monday, June 30.

Accordingly, effective, July 1, 2008, all firms not converted to the FixML message format for GAPI messaging and electronic trade confirms will be subject to a $2,500 monthly TREX maintenance fee.  Firms are encouraged to convert to the FixML message standard on or before July 1, 2008 to avoid this fee.
