    • ACTION:                                                           Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (“DO”) has announced a special cash dividend of $1.875 per DO Common Share. The record date is August 3, 2009; payable date is September 1, 2009. The ex-distribution date for this distribution will be July 30, 2009. Diamond Offshore has characterized this dividend as “special” and has distinguished it from the regular quarterly dividend payable on the same date.
       
                                                                              This corporate event will be coordinated with the Options Clearing Corporation.
