    • ACTION:                                                           Westfield Financial, Inc. (“WFD”) has announced a special cash dividend of $0.15 per WFD Common Share. The record date is May 13, 2009; payable date is May 27, 2009. The ex-distribution date for this distribution will be May 11, 2009. Westfield Financial, Inc. has characterized this dividend as “special” and has distinguished it from the regular quarterly dividend payable on the same date.
       
                                                                              This corporate action will be coordinated with the Options Clearing Corporation.
