CME STP and CME STP FIX

CME STP Migration for EBS Trades - December 31, 2024

Central Post Trade (CPT) TOF and CPT FIX will be decommissioned on December 31, 2024.

All EBS clients must migrate to CME STP solutions before the decommission. Both CME STP and CME STP FIX currently support EBS trades as well as BrokerTec on CME Globex, BrokerTec Stream, and CME Group futures and options.

Start planning your migration now to ensure no interruption of service, and continued access to new products and features which will only be supported in CME STP. 

To facilitate your migration, Message Specifications are now available along with Migration Guides for CPT TOF and CPT FIX to CME STP.

CME STP for EBS FX Markets are currently available for customer testing in New Release. Functional certification is required.

CME Cleared OTC IRS/FX Unique Product Identifier (UPI) support in CME STP FIX - January 2024

In January 2024, as required by CFTC Regulation § 45.7, CME Group will support Unique Product Identifier (UPI) for CME Cleared OTC IRS/FX trades. This change will impact CME STP and CME STP FIX. The production launch date will be announced in future CME STP Notices.

To support this change, a new field will be added to the Trade Capture Reports for CME STP and CME STP FIX.

BrokerTec US Treasuries RV Butterfly Spreads Support - January 28

Effective Sunday, January 28 (trade date Monday, January 29), BrokerTec US Treasuries RV Butterfly Spreads will be available for trading on CME Globex. CME STP and CME STP FIX will support Trade Capture Reports for these spreads with a new security sub type "RB”.

The spread is currently available for customer testing in New Release.
