Critical System Updates

OAuth API ID Case-Sensitivity Requirement - This Week

The following information is provided for convenience only. CME STP and CME STP FIX use Basic Authentication and are not affected by this change.

CME Group is committed to providing the highest levels of market integrity, including the security of CME Group and adjacent ecosystems. Effective this Sunday, October 31, access to OAuth authenticated services will require a case-sensitive API ID on all requests.

Currently, the following services use OAuth authentication:

• Reference Data API
• CME GC Allocator API

To avoid any service interruptions, please verify all applications, scripts and services are using the API ID case (uppercase and/or lowercase) registered with CME Group.

To verify or modify the case of an existing API ID, use your CME Group Login to access the CME Customer Center, then select the User icon > My Profile > API Management tab.

CME STP

Enhancement to Trade Number in CME STP - This Week

Effective this Sunday, October 31 (trade date Monday, November 1) to provide a unique binary trade number across all markets, CME Globex will add a MarketSegment specific prefix to tag 1797-OrderEventExecID on the iLink 3 Execution Report.

The updated values in tag 1797-OrderEventExecID on the iLink 3 Execution Report will be reflected in Trade Capture Report attribute /TrdCaptRpt/@TrdNum of CME STP for BrokerTec US and EU Repo trades as follows:

This change is currently available in New Release for customer testing.

CME STP FIX

Enhancement to Trade Number in CME STP FIX - This Week

Effective this Sunday, October 31 (trade date Monday, November 1) to provide a unique binary trade number across all markets, CME Globex will add a MarketSegment specific prefix to tag 1797-OrderEventExecID on the iLink 3 Execution Report.

The updated values in tag 1797-OrderEventExecID on the iLink 3 Execution Report will be reflected in Trade Capture Report (tag 35-MsgType=AE) field Trade Number (tag 2490-TradeNumber) of CME STP FIX for BrokerTec US and EU Repo trades as follows:
