CME Group Exchanges – PRIIPs Rules Implementation; PRIIPs/KIDs on CME Group Website Now Available

As noted in SER 8040, dated December 15, 2017, Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (“CME”), The Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc. (“CBOT”), New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (“NYMEX”), and Commodity Exchange, Inc. (“COMEX”) (collectively, the “Exchanges” or the “CME Group Exchanges”) provided notice regarding the adoption of new Rule 570. (“Restriction on Sale of Exchange Products in the EU to EU Retail Investors Under PRIIPs”) and amendments to Rule 960. (“Omnibus and Carrying Brokers Accounts”) (collectively, the “Rule Amendments”) to comply with European Union (“EU”) regulation on Packaged Retail and Insurance-Based Investment Products (“PRIIPs”).  The Rule Amendments will be implemented on January 1, 2018.
