      CME Account Management Services API

      Update - CME Account Management Services API Launch

      † Denotes update to the article

      CME Group Account Management Services API (AMS API) is now available to certified CME Clearing firms to access registered CME ClearPort, CME Direct (Globex) and Inline Credit Control accounts.

      With this new API, customers may:

      • Retrieve and/or update permitted products, eligible brokers, and position limits
      • Activate/inactivate accounts
      • Copy an existing account to create new accounts

      AMS API is currently available in New Release for customer testing.

      CME Account Management Services GUI

      New - Account Copy Functionality

      Effective Wednesday, March 20, the Account Copy option functionality will be disabled for accounts with the Inline Credit Control (ICC) service enabled. The Account Copy functionality will continue to be available for CME ClearPort and/or CME Direct (CME Globex) enabled accounts.

      This change will be available in New Release on Wednesday, March 13.

      CME Group Risk Monitor Launch

      Update - CME Group Risk Monitor Launch

      Effective †Sunday, April 14 ( trade date Monday, April 15) CME Group is launching a new CME Group Risk Monitor user interface. With Risk Monitor, permissioned Clearing, Execution and Trading Firm Administrators can:

      • Monitor account activities, threshold alerts, rejected trades and account usage from a new monitoring dashboard
      • View audit trail details for Account Management Services and Entity Risk Management
      • View and search ICC threshold alerts

      The legacy CME Account Manager will be decommissioned on †Friday, April 12, and all roles and entitlements will be enabled in the new microservices (CME Account Management Services, CME Entity Risk Management and CME Risk Monitoring).

      Please note:

      • Existing users of Risk Monitoring functions in CME Account Manager will automatically be permissioned for the new UI, and may access this service directly from the CME Customer Center Portfolio and Risk menu.
      • New users will have access to the Risk Monitoring UI from the CME Customer Center Portfolio and Risk menu shortly after requesting the service.

      Testing in New Release is now available and is highly encouraged to gain familiarity with the new interface.

      CME Account Manager

      Update - CME Account Manager Decommission

      The legacy CME Account Manager will be decommissioned at the close of business on †Friday, April 12 and will redirect to the new microservices:

      • †Account Management Service is now available in production and offers:
        • Account creation and management, including:
          • Trading platform / service
          • Market types, products, brokers
          • Credit Controls, exposure limits
      • †Entity Risk Management is now available in production and the functions include:
        • Set default Inline Credit Controls Policy and Alerts threshold
        • Product and Execution Firm restrictions
        • User and Product quantity limits
        • Restricting ability to submit block trades
      • With Risk Monitoring, permissioned Clearing, Execution and Trading Firm Administrators can:
        • Monitor account activities, threshold alerts, rejected trades and account usage from a new monitoring dashboard
        • View audit trail details for Account Management Services and Entity Risk Management
        • View and search ICC threshold alerts

      In alignment with the decommission, the Subscription Center mailing list will be rebranded from CME Account Manager to CME Risk Management and Monitoring ,and current subscribers will automatically be subscribed to the new list.

      CME Account Manager was decommissioned in New Release on Tuesday, March 5.
