Upcoming CME Direct Excel Order Entry Update - Tag 1028

Effective Sunday, June 27 (trade date Monday, June 28), CME Direct will include changes to the Excel API Order Entry which will now require iLink Tag 1028 – Manual / Automated order for all Order submissions. Users will need to update all existing order submissions via Excel Function or VBA on Sunday, June 27.

The new Function Arguments are:

=CMED.O(Contract Code, Side, Slot, Price, Total, Quantity, Active, Account identifier, Excel order sequence number, Manual, Disclosed quantity)

• It is a mandatory field for all Orders via the Excel API
• Values are “Y” / “N”. Manual = “Y” and Automated = “N”
• For VBA, the NewOrder function has a new parameter: Manual as Boolean.

This change will be available for testing and updating code prior to Sunday, June 27 in CME Direct New Release Environment on Wednesday, June 2 after 12:00 pm Central Time (CT).
