Effective on December 31, 2024, pursuant to CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Rule 914, the Clearing House is establishing Base Product Categories for which Mandated Base Clearing Members are required to participate in the Clearing House’s default management auctions and default management drills. A Base Clearing Member may be selected by the Clearing House for mandatory participation in default management auctions and drills for a Base Product Category (or Categories) based on the factors defined in CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Rule 914. Mandated Base Clearing members will be selected on at least a semi-annual basis and will be notified directly.

The table below lists the Base Product Categories for which Mandated Base Clearing Members are required to participate in default management auctions and default management drills.
