Adding Globex Memo Field (@MEM) To Firm FIXML Trade Messages - Effective: April 20, 2020

Please be advised that, in response to customer requests, CME Clearing is planning to include the Globex Memo Field (to FIX Tag 5149) on FIXML Trade confirmation messages to Clearing Firms. The field will be represented in the @MEM tag and will be included on Trade messages only. The tag will not be included on any Allocation messages and will not be used for allocation fee grouping. The memo field value can be specified upon order entry on Globex, can be up to 75 characters in length, and will be pass-through only. The Memo Field value will not be viewable in the FECPlus UI and will not be updateable once it reaches Clearing. The Memo Field is currently included on STP trade messages.

This enhancement will be in the New Release environment for testing beginning Thursday, March 12, 2020, and is scheduled for Production for Trade Date Monday, April 20, 2020.
