UpdateCME MDP 3.0 Market Data Security Definition Updates - Starting This Week

On this †Saturday, August 29, CME Group will continue populating existing fields in the CME Market Data 3.0 Security Definition 35-MsgType=d messages. The following fields and markets are impacted:

  • Tag 1682-MDSecurityTradingStatus – Impacts listed derivatives, Brokertec, and EBS
  • Tag 37513-InstrumentGUID – Impacts listed derivatives

These changes are being phased-in across the New Release and Production environments for CME Globex listed derivatives, BrokerTec and EBS markets.

SFTP Services Migration to Google Cloud - September 25

As part of SFTP services migration to Google Cloud, new network IPs and Ports are now available.

By close of business on Friday, September 25, all clients must complete migration and connect to SFTP Production using only the following new credentials.

Please use your CME Group Login to view the new credentials in the SFTP Services Migration to Google Cloud section of the Configuration and Connectivity Details page.

SFTP services on Google Cloud are available in parallel to the current on-prem instance. When connecting in parallel to Google Cloud and on-prem instances, clients should ensure that only one instance of the reports is utilized.

NewTreasury Link Spreads on CME Globex - Q4 2026

In Q4 2026, pending regulatory review, CME Group will introduce Treasury Link (cash versus futures) spreads for trading on CME Globex. 

This offering represents a price differential between BrokerTec U.S. Treasury Actives offered on BrokerTec Chicago and CBOT U.S. Treasury futures, facilitating the simultaneous and atomic execution of both legs within a single transaction, eliminating legging risk. 

Treasury Link spreads will be listed with 1 to 1 Ratio and DV01 Weighted (X:Y) Ratio. For more information, view the Treasury Link Spreads - Product Specifications

Use your CME Group Login to view market data multicast IP and port details on the Connectivity and Configuration Details page. 

These products will be available for customer testing in New Release on Monday, October 5.

SIFMA Business Continuity Test - October 24

On Saturday, October 24, BrokerTec U.S. will participate in the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Business Continuity Test. All BrokerTec U.S. client testing is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Eastern Time in our Production environment.

Customers who wish to test with BrokerTec should register directly with SIFMA before October 16.

To be enabled for weekend testing privileges, customers who have registered with SIFMA must provide their Production CME Group Login and any CME API IDs they intend to test with to the Global Command Center (GCC).

Central Clearing for BrokerTec U.S. Treasury Cash - November 2

By Monday, November 2, to comply with the upcoming SEC Central Clearing Mandate, all bilateral participants trading U.S. Treasury cash products on BrokerTec must begin clearing these transactions through a Covered Clearing Agency (CCA).
