NewTrades on BrokerTec EU Test Instruments - March 15

Starting Sunday, March 15 (trade date Monday, March 16), CME Group will publish test trades on the below test instruments during market hours to optimize support for BrokerTec EU instruments on CME Globex.

These test trades will only appear on test instruments and will not affect Production instruments or trading. BrokerTec EU clients will see these trades on market data messages disseminated on MDP 3.0 channels. CME Group recommends that client systems ignore all MDP 3.0 messages for the following test products:

Front-End Clients

BrokerTec Global Front End Connectivity to CME STP on Google Cloud - March 2

Starting Monday, March 2, BrokerTec Global Front End (GFE) Client versions 11.6 and higher will connect to the CME Straight Through Processing (STP) FIX on Google Cloud, as detailed in the Post Trade section of this notice.

The BrokerTec GFE uses CME STP FIX to populate its Clearing Trades tab, and connectivity to CME STP FIX on Google Cloud will be required once on-prem instances are decommissioned.

BrokerTec GFE versions 11.6 and higher will initially attempt to connect to CME FIX STP on Google Cloud, before reverting to on-prem services if a connection cannot be established. 

After Sunday, April 26, all BrokerTec GFE versions will only connect to CME FIX STP on Google Cloud.

UpdateAction Required: Upgrade to BrokerTec Sync Client Versions 5.0 to Avoid Service Interruption - June 30

All clients must upgrade to BrokerTec Sync client versions 5.0 by Tuesday, June 30, 2026, to avoid loss of access to the BrokerTec GFE for clients dependent on BrokerTec Sync.

BrokerTec Sync client versions 4.x or older have not been supported since Monday, June 2, 2025. 

Network Requirements

As our services migrate to Google Cloud, this new client version requires access to the following URLs over the public Internet from the BrokerTec Sync user’s workstation:

Installation Requirements

Please note that customers upgrading from a previous version of the BrokerTec Sync client will be prompted to reboot their workstation during the upgrade process. To minimize disruption, we strongly encourage customer support teams to schedule this upgrade at an appropriate time.

Post-Trade

CME STP FIXML - Service Availability and Regional Maintenance Update - March 22

Effective Sunday, March 22 (trade date Monday, March 23), CME Group will make the CME STP FIXML service available on a 24/7 basis and will introduce regional maintenance during weekends.

Clients should note that the x-cme-token, which is used by client systems for ongoing subscriptions and for multi-batch queries, will not be valid across regions. After regional maintenance, Client systems will receive a TradeCaptureReportRequestAck with the attribute @txt="x-cme-token is no longer valid. Please initiate a new subscription" and must reestablish their subscription to obtain a valid token.

This change is currently available in New Release (maintenance weekly on Wednesdays). Customers are highly encouraged to test their recovery processes in New Release and complete the mandatory supplemental certification.

CME STP FIXML service in New Release is not available on weekends.

CME STP FIX on Google Cloud - Service Availability and Regional Maintenance - March 22

Effective Sunday, March 22 (trade date Monday, March 23), CME Group will make the CME STP FIX service on Google Cloud available on a 24/7 basis and will introduce regional maintenance during weekends.

During the regional maintenance, client systems using the Managed Connectivity options will be disconnected and are required to reestablish their connections and resubscribe to continue the receipt of post-trade messages. Client systems using Regional Connectivity options should switch regions on their end upon disconnection.

This change is currently available in New Release (maintenance weekly on Wednesdays). Customers are highly encouraged to test their recovery processes in New Release and complete the mandatory supplemental certification.

CME STP FIX on Google Cloud - Production Internet Connectivity - April 26

As part of a phased migration of CME Straight Through Processing APIs to Google Cloud, Production internet connectivity options for CME STP FIX API are now available.

By Sunday, April 26, all clients must complete migration and connect to CME STP FIX API Production using only the Google Cloud hostnames.

CME STP FIX on Google Cloud is available in parallel to the current on-prem instance. When connecting in parallel to Google Cloud and on-prem instances, clients should ensure trades are not double-booked.

A mandatory supplemental certification for message recovery is now available for CME STP FIX on Google Cloud.

CME STP FIX - Update to New Release Host Connectivity - Now Available

CME STP FIX service will now incorporate the following managed and regional connectivity options in the New Release environment to better align functionality with Production.

Client systems are required to target the hostname(s). IPs are provided for convenience of local client side whitelisting purposes only. Clients can continue to use their existing entitled API IDs with this Host change.

This change does not affect Production connectivity.

Events and Announcements

NewBrokerTec U.S. Holiday Schedule Reminder for Good Friday 2026 - April 3

On Friday, April 3, BrokerTec U.S. on CME Globex clients will observe the following impacts in relation to the Good Friday holiday, if Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) follows the current plans for data release:

  • BrokerTec U.S. Treasury Benchmarks, RV Curve, and BrokerTec Chicago will trade from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Trades will be submitted Monday, April 6, to FICC and TRACE for settlement Tuesday, April 7.
  • BrokerTec U.S. Repo will be closed Friday, April 3.

This schedule applies to BrokerTec U.S. Treasury Benchmarks, RV Curve, and BrokerTec Chicago spreads only.

CME STP and CME STP FIX will reflect the correct Settlement Dates for all trades in the Trade Capture Reports, FIXML attribute SettlDt or FIX tag 64-SettlDate.

Should BLS announce any changes to the current data release schedule that moves the Employment numbers to a later date, BrokerTec U.S. would then be fully closed on Good Friday, April 3.
