Highlights

Coming at 9:45 am ET, the flash US S&P PMI purchasing managers report for November. Expectations for manufacturing PMI look for 52.3 versus 52.5 in the final October report. Services are seen at 54.8 versus 54.8. These readings would suggest remarkable stability and ongoing growth, rather better than the more widely-followed ISM purchasing managers series.

Then at 10 am ET, the final November University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey. The Econoday consensus looks for the index at 50.5 versus 50.3 in the flash and 53.6 in October. These are recession-like numbers, reflecting consumer fears about their jobs and inflation.
