Highlights

Plenty of Fedspeak on calendar today, and fodder for both hawks and doves from alternative US employment indicators lately. These include an unexpectedly decent ADP employment figure Wednesday (+42K for October), a horrible layoffs report from Challenger today (153K in October), and a soft reading on October payrolls (-9K), from Revelio Labs, the market's new alternative data favorite.

Here are the most interesting Fed appearances on the calendar:

New York Federal Reserve Bank President John Williams at 11 am ET at Goethe University Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability in Frankfurt. This will include live Q&A.

Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank President Beth Hammack at 12 noon at the Economic Club of New York. Also to include live Q&A.

Federal Reserve Board Governor Christopher Waller at 15:30 ET on payments panel at the Bank of Canada 2025 Annual Economic Conference. Sounds off-topic but possibly interesting as Waller is always interesting.

St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President Alberto Musalem at 17:30 ET. This is"fireside chat" on the U.S. economy and monetary policy before the Fixed Income Analysts Society. Musalem, the hawk, is forthright and the audience will include market professionals.
