Volumes were down 0.2 percent on the year, with food flat at 0.0 percent and non-food down 0.3 percent. Within the non-food category the largest nominal decline was in computers and telecommunications equipment (down 3.5 percent) and shoes and leather goods (down 3.3 percent).
Compared to January last year, the value of retail sales for large-scale distribution grew 2.1 percent while small-scale distribution remained flat at 0.0 percent. Non-store retail sales declined by 1.0 percent while E-commerce fell 3.3 percent.
