Highlights
Survey respondents reported a fall in output, stagnant new orders but strong growth in new export orders in March, with improved demand from elsewhere in the region and the United States. Respondents also reported the fifth consecutive reduction in payrolls and continue to expect below-average output growth over the next 12 months, with some citing concerns about global trade tensions. The survey shows another big increase in input costs and the biggest increase in selling prices since late 2022.
