Also included are statistics on cattle on feed and grazing on small grain pasture, as well as calf crop data.

This report can be helpful for long-term analysis but is not usually considered market-moving. It provides information on the entire cattle population of the US, with inventory numbers on all types of cattle as well as their uses (beef versus dairy for example). It also has state-by-state breakdowns. The fact that it is only released twice a year limits its appeal. Traders get more timely data from the monthly Cattle on Feed report.
