Highlights
UK industrial production is seen dropping 1.2% on year in September, with the pace of decline decelerating from1.6% in August.
The French CPI increase is seen unrevised at 1.2% on year in the final October report.
The final reading of the October Italian CPI is also expected to be unrevised at a 0.9% gain on year.
In the U.S., auto sales were strong in October while gas sales were soft, with prices down. Forecasts look for a modest 0.3% rise in retail sales on the month with sales ex-autos also up 0.3% and sales ex-autos and gas up 0.4%.
Forecasters are sticking with the StatCan estimate of down 0.8 percent for September, more evidence of contraction in Canada after a nasty 1.3 percent drop on the month in August.
The New York Fed's Empire State manufacturing index is forecast to creep up to a neutral 0.0 in November after a negative 11.9 reading in October. Manufacturing activity has been contracting and 0.0 in November is not inspiring.
Boston Federal Reserve Bank President Susan Collins will give opening remarks before the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston 68th economic conference,"The Future of Finance: Implications of Innovation" at 9 a.m. EST (1400 GMT). Later at 10:30 EST (1430), she will participate in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
Federal Reserve Bank of New York is scheduled to release the text of opening remarks by President John Williams before a closed event"New York Fed Alumni: Celebrating 100 Years of Making Our Mission Possible" at 1:15 p.m. EST (1815 GMT).
