Forecasters see ADP's June employment number at 163,000. This would compare with May growth in private payrolls reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of 229,000. ADP's number for May was 152,000.
Among other US data, a deficit of $76.0 billion is expected in May for total goods and services trade which would compare with a $74.6 billion deficit in April. Advance data on the goods side of May's report showed a steep $2.6 billion deepening in the deficit.
New jobless claims for the June 29 week are expected to come in at 235,000 versus 233,000 in the prior week.
No change at the mid-month's 55.1 is the consensus for the services US PMI's June final. This index ended May at 54.8.
Factory orders are expected to rise 0.3 percent in May versus April's 0.7 percent gain. Durable goods orders for May, which have already been released and are one of two major components of this report, edged 0.1 percent higher on the month.
Backed by new orders, US ISM services jumped 4.4 points in May to a better-than-expected 53.8, with June's consensus at a slightly lower 53.0.
In Canada, the trade balance for May is seen in deficit at C$1.6 billion versus April's deficit of C$1.047 billion and March's deficit of C$1.985 billion.
New York Federal Reserve Bank President John Williams will participate in"Panel 2: Drivers of Equilibrium Interest Rates" before the hybrid European Central Bank Forum on Central Banking 2024 at 7 a.m. EDT (1100 GMT).
Australia's trade surplus for May is forecast to have widened further to A$6.7 billion after surging to A$6.548 billion in April from a revised A$4.841 billion in March due to a sharp drop in imports.
