In France, no revisions are expected to the provisional CPI data, leaving a flat monthly reading and a 2.2 percent annual inflation rate, the latter also unchanged from April's final post.

In Canada, manufacturing sales in April are expected to rise 1.2 percent, in line with the preliminary estimate from Statistics Canada, after falling 2.1 percent in a broad-based March decline.

US import prices in May are expected to increase 0.1 percent versus a much higher-than-expected rise of 0.9 percent in April. Export prices, which rose 0.5 percent in April and were also higher than expected, are seen flat from March.

In the first indication for June, the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index is expected to improve to 73.0 after falling to 69.1 in May from April's 77.2.

Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Austan Goolsbee will participate in a fireside chat before the Iowa Farm Bureau Economic Summit at 2 p.m. EDT (1800 GMT).

Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook will speak at an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the American Economic Association Summer Program at 7 p.m. EDT (2300 GMT).
