Highlights
The latest quarterly increase reflected fresh growth in both the goods producing and service sectors. The former added 4,000 jobs and the latter 22,000. However, following a 1.6 percent rise at the start of the year, vacancies fell 3.2 percent and now stand only 2.2 percent higher on the year.
Still, overall today's update shows that the Swiss labour market remains tight, a factor that will weigh heavily on the SNB's interest rate decision next month.
