Onboarding with CME European Trade Repository

1. Register to receive a Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)

Register your legal entity with a Regulatory Oversight Committee (ROC) approved Local Operating Unit (LOU) who will allocate an LEI for you.

2. Legal Agreements

Complete the CME ETR User Agreement electronically and submit it by clicking the 'submit' button on the form.

3. Application processing at CME (typically 24-48 hours)

Upon receipt of your application, CME will return an auto response to acknowledge your request.

Your application will be sent for compliance checks (KYC) and subsequently processed by CME's Registration Team. Registration typically takes between 24-48hrs.

Once this process is complete, CME ETR will confirm your successful registration via email.

4. Submit and access transactions

Registered users may now begin to submit and view derivative transactions and pricing data to CME ETR.  Please refer to the CME ETR User Guide for guidance on how to use CME ETR.
