Onboarding with CME Swap Data Repository

1. Register to receive a Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)

Register with the Global Markets Entity utility (GMEI), formerly known as the CICI Utility, which operates as a pre-Local Operating Unit (LOU) of the Global Legal Entity Identifier System. Alternatively, you may register at any other LOU at The Legal Entity Identifier Regulatory Oversight Committee.

2. Legal Agreements

Complete the CME SDR Agreement electronically and submit by clicking the 'send' button on the form.

Should you wish to register further legal entities, please complete SDR Schedule C, which can also be completed online, and submitted via the form's 'send' button.

3. Application processing at CME (typically 24-48 hours)

Upon receipt of your application, CME will return an auto response to acknowledge your request.

Registration typically takes between 24-48 hrs.

Once this process is complete, CME SDR will confirm your successful registration via email.

Registered users will now be ready to telephone (for security reasons) the CME Registration Team to receive their username and password for the CME SDR Test Environment and CME SDR Production Environment.

4. Submit and access transactions

Registered users may now begin to submit and view derivative transactions and pricing data to CME SDR. Please refer to the CME SDR User Guide for guidance on how to use CME SDR.
