Listing 5 Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Swaps and Two Physically-Delivered Plastics Futures Contracts on ClearPort

Beginning on Sunday evening, November 2, 2008 (for trade date Monday, November 3), the Exchange will list five new natural gas liquids (NGL) swaps futures contracts and two physically-delivered plastics futures contracts on ClearPort®.

The five new NGL futures contracts will be cash-settled using OPIS assessments. The four NGL futures contracts based in Mont Belvieu will use the Non-LDH assessment. The first listed month will be the November 2008 contract month. The Exchange will list 36 consecutive months in the NGL contracts. The new NGL contracts are as follows:

The two new plastics futures contracts will feature physical delivery in Houston for polypropylene and polyethylene. The last trading day will be on the last business day of the month prior to the delivery month, and delivery will occur between the 7th and 21st days of the delivery month. The Exchange will list 24 consecutive months, beginning with the January 2009 contract month. The new plastics contracts are as follows:

The Polypropylene Futures Contract specifies delivery of homopolymer of general purpose injection molding grade with melt flow rates of 12 or 20, or of general purpose fiber ('raffia') extrusion grade. The Polyethylene Futures Contract requires delivery of polyethylene of high density blow molding grade, with melt flow rate 0.30.

These new futures contracts will be listed both on NYMEX ClearPort® Clearing (CPC) and Trading (CPT) beginning with the start of the NYMEX ClearPort® session at 6:00 PM (New York time) on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Each of these new futures contracts will be available during the normal trading hours on NYMEX ClearPort® Trading.
