Extension for Submission of COMEX EFP Transactions
As noted in prior Notices [393 and 404], COMEX Division Exchanges of Futures for Physicals (EFP) transactions were permissioned to be submitted via the NYMEX ClearPort® Clearing Trade Entry Portal. In conjunction with this enhancement, the previously-established procedure which provided Clearing Members the ability to fax EFP information to the COMEX Trade Corrections Area was directed to be terminated effective Monday, October 1, 2007 (Notice 424 ). However, due to operational issues that have been raised, NYMEX is extending use of the fax facility to the COMEX Corrections Area until further notice. NYMEX Staff will continue to review operational considerations with respect to the COMEX Division EFP submissions and will communicate any additional procedural changes.
