REMINDER: 2007 Industry-Wide BCP/DR Test

This is a reminder that the New York Mercantile Exchange will again be taking part in the annual industry-wide disaster recovery test event planned for October 27, 2007. Nymex will be participating with several other exchanges for this event. To continue improving the emergency preparedness capabilities of the Exchange and clearing member firms, your firm is encouraged to participate in this event. Preliminary meetings will be held to promote this test and attendance at these meetings requested. During the meetings the test organizers and participating exchanges will discuss the scope of the disaster recovery test, what resources will be involved, and where the firms can get or request additional information regarding the test. Registration for this test is required. A centralized registration process has been created for this test and is available at the FIA website located online at http://www.futuresindustry.org/disaster/dr-test-registration.asp. Information from the participating exchanges regarding the test, test protocol, and test plans will also be available at this centralized location. So, please register and check back frequently for updates. Additional important information: Nymex will conduct a technical conference call on September 12th to discuss the NYMEX portion of the test with test participants, and to answer any technical questions firms may have with the ping test, or the main test. Please visit this website to keep up-to-date with the event planning and dates. Some important dates: Symposiums There will be two test symposium dates; one in New York and one in Chicago. The dates are: Chicago – Tuesday, September 18th, 2007 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM; and in New York – Thursday, September 20th, 2007 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM. NYMEX Ping Testing September 29th, 2007 October 13th, 2007 Industry-wide DR Test Date October 27th, 2007 This will be the fourth annual industry-wide disaster recovery test and we are looking forward to making this test as successful as the past three tests have been.
