| Compliance Advisory: Globex® Tag 50 (SenderSubID) Requirements No Sharing of Tag 50s |
|---|
| This Notice serves as a reminder to NYMEX Clearing Firms that a unique "Tag 50" (SenderSubID) must be assigned to every person entering orders on CME Globex® using CME iLink Connections. In no case should a single Tag 50 be assigned to more than one person. Tag 50s cannot be shared.
An additional requirement for a fully Automated Trading System (ATS) is that a unique Tag 50 be assigned for each person who is responsible for the ATS's orders as entered on CME Globex®. For example, if responsibility for the ATS is changed from one shift operator to another, each shift operator must have his/her own unique Tag 50 indicating that he/she is responsible for the orders for such times. The clearing firm must be able to provide the identity of the person assigned a specific Tag 50 at the request of the NYMEX Compliance Department. The clearing firm must also maintain historical records of Tag 50 identity information for at least 5 years. This Notice to Members acts as a corollary to CME's Regulatory Advisory RA-06-06 regarding Workstation Operator Identifiers on CME Globex® Orders Entered through CME iLink Connections. The portions of the CME advisory regarding registration of Tag 50s with the CME's Exchange Fee System (EFS) may not necessarily apply to NYMEX participants. The advisory can be found at the following link: |
