NYMEX ClearPort Trade Management System ("TMS") Production Launch on April 2, 2007 for Gold Products
On Monday, April 2, 2007 NYMEX ClearPort® TMS will become the system for Production trade entry and trade management for Gold Futures and Gold Options.

This release will complete the incremental steps to replace the legacy OLTE system with the NYMEX ClearPort® TMS as the system to manage COMEX’s floor and electronic trades.

All COMEX floor traded business will be managed through the NYMEX ClearPort® TMS system.

Registration

As a reminder, all Traders and their clerks must register in order to obtain a user name and password for TMS.

For registration assistance, or for any other questions or concerns:
  • Traders should contact Floor Operations at the Trades Processing Area
  • Clerks should contact the Training & Development (299-2450) to obtain mandatory training and to complete a Broker Clerk Registration form.
Testing

On Saturday, March 31, 2007, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, a Production system set-up test will be held in preparation for the Monday launch. This Production system set-up test will be open for Clerk participation.

Because Trader Clerks who participated in the previous weekend set-up tests for the Silver and Copper/Aluminum launches found the testing very helpful in easing the transition on the first few days of business, it is strongly recommended that Clerks for the Gold launch participate on Saturday, March 31, 2007, with copies of actual trading cards so they can practice trade entry in a production environment without the pressures and time constraints of the live trading day.
