New Brand Markings for Platinum and Palladium Produced by Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo K.K.
The Exchange has complied with regulatory requirements by filing with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission notification of an approved amendment to Supplements No. 5, "Approved Brands Acceptable on the London Platinum and Palladium Market" of the Platinum and Palladium Futures Contracts. The approved amendment adds the new brand markings for the approved brands of Platinum and Palladium produced by Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo K.K. as acceptable for good delivery against the Platinum Futures Contract. Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo K.K. produces brands which are currently approved for delivery on the NYMEX Platinum and Palladium contracts. The brand markings for new production have been changed from "Tanaka Tokyo" to "Tanaka Tokyo Melters" (copy of drawings which illustrate the change are attached). The approved amendments, seen here, to Supplements No. 5, "Approved Brands Acceptable on the London Platinum and Palladium Market" of the Platinum Futures Contract are effective Monday, October 9, 2006.
