The NYMEX miNY™ Unleaded Gasoline and Heating Oil futures contracts will be financially settled based upon the settlement prices of the underlying gasoline or heating oil futures contracts, with the last trading date and final settlement on the second-to-last business day of the month prior to the contract month (i.e., one business day prior to the termination date of the underlying futures contracts).
These miNY futures contracts will be one-half the size of the floor traded contracts or 21,000 gallons. The tick size will be $0.002 or $42.00 per tick. The trading symbols are:
QU for NYMEX miNY™ Unleaded GasolineLaunch procedure for NYMEX miNY™ Gasoline and Heating Oil Futures
QH for NYMEX miNY™ Heating Oil.
- The first futures contract month listed for trading for the NYMEX miNY™ Unleaded Gasoline and the miNY Heating Oil will be the February 2006 futures contract.
- The February 2006 NYMEX miNY™ Heating Oil and Unleaded Gasoline will be listed for trading on the NYMEX ClearPort electronic trading platform on January 16, 2006 at 3:15 PM EST, and will expire on Monday, January 30 at 2:30 PM EST.
- The second nearby contract month will be listed for trading five business days prior to the expiration of the front month contract. Accordingly, the March 2006 miNY Unleaded Gasoline and Heating Oil futures contracts will be listed for trading on Monday, January 23, 2006 at 3:15 PM EST (for trade date January 24).
