All trades executed on the CME Globex® system will show the Clearing Member who guarantees the trader as the executing broker on the trade, unless an Electronic Trades Reallocations and Positions Registration Form has been submitted by the Clearing Member on behalf of that trader. Accordingly, for traders who are not already registered, it is recommended that they contact their clearing members for the proper registration to take place.
Clearing Members may register Traders by providing the Trader's SenderSubID for ISV users, or Login ID for Globex Trader users, for these traders to do the following:
- Process Top Day reallocations on TMS
- View positions on TMS
- Get proper ATOM credits
To register, please download and complete the form located at http://www.nymex.com/elec_reallpos.aspx. Please submit all completed registrations, by fax, to NYMEX Customer Service at 212-301-4751.
- For electronic trades directly executed by a trader on a CME GLOBEX Trader front end or through a Clearing Member's ISV front end, trades will appear in TMS with the Clearing Member's "broker code", and not the trader's badge. By registering the connectivity information for a trader (specifically the FIX SenderCompID and SenderSubID or Globex TraderTM Login ID), trades on all orders with that connectivity information will have the broker's alpha badge as the executing broker in TMS and clearing instead of the Clearing Member's "broker code". This will update the broker's positions in TMS for CTI type 1 trades, and will allow the trader's clerk to reallocate the trades in TMS if desired.
- Additionally, for CTI type 3 trades executed by another trader (through GLOBEX Traderâ„¢ front end or on a FIX connection to Globex Traderâ„¢), if the order is placed with a properly registered account and a CTI of 3C or 3H, that side of the trade will enter TMS with the registered trader as the "Trader 3" on the trade, which will again reflect in that trader's positions. To register an account for a trader, that trader's clearing member must:
a) Complete the registration form, and check the "Enable Trader 3 Functionality" box. This will allow NYMEX Customer Service to register the trader as their own "electronic firm" in the NYMEX systems.
b) After the trader has been registered, the Clearing Member must enter the trader's account(s) in the NYMEX Account Manager (a.k.a. RAV Manager) with the trader's firm (generally listed as the trader's firstname-lastname) as the Account Owner. The account(s) do not have to have a RAV dollar limit listed, and do not have to have any products permissioned. This registration is not linked with any RAV dollar value enforcement; it is purely for the purposes of attaching the account with the floor trader as the account owner.
Clearing Members should inform traders as to when registration has taken place, so it will be known when the positions are properly reflected.
