Trading COMEX Memberships
The COMEX Division temporarily suspended trading in COMEX memberships on August 2, 2006, pending completion of an agreement or the termination of discussions with NYMEX for COMEX trading rights. Since an agreement was announced today, COMEX will resume the trading of its memberships, effective on Monday, September 25, 2006. The Membership Department will begin accepting written bids and offers for COMEX Full Seats from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2006. All bids and offers received before 3:00 PM, on September 22, shall be deemed to have been submitted simultaneously. The best bid and offer will be posted on September 25. In the event that the best bid shall exceed the best offer, a sale will occur at a price midway between the bid and offer but not less than the next best bid.
