Decommissioning of NEON 1.0 Version of Exchange Electronic Order Routing System
Currently, the Exchange offers two versions of the NEON electronic order routing system to registered users (both of which can deliver electronic orders to the NYMEX and COMEX trading floors for execution in the open outcry markets): NEON 1.0, which was initially launched; and NEON 2.0, which was launched subsequently and which offers added features and flexibility. Please be advised that due to the successful implementation of NEON 2.0, NEON 1.0 is scheduled to be decommissioned on Friday, November 10, 2006. For anyone who is still using NEON 1.0, we strongly encourage you to switch over to send orders via NEON 2.0 soon in order to be able to continue routing orders to the NYMEX and COMEX trading floors electronically without interruption. Please contact your Independent Software Vendor (ISV) to determine whether they are ready to route to NEON 2.0 or need to develop and certify to it.
