Announcement of Start Date for Use of Wireless Valet Support Center on the NYMEX Division Trading Floor
As background, the Exchange Board of Directors recently approved the use of wireless handheld devices for electronic trading by floor members on the NYMEX Division Trading Floor. A program for use of such devices by authorized/registered clerks is currently under review. The Exchange will provide an optional Wireless Valet Support Center on the NYMEX Division trading floor as an accommodation to store tablets and recharge batteries overnight starting on Monday, June 5, 2006.

Wireless Valet Support Center Policy includes:
  1. NYMEX Members must purchase their own handheld tablets, software, batteries and memory sticks.

  2. The Exchange will require all Members with tablets to sign the NYMEX Wireless Terms of Service when registering eliminating the Exchange's liability for the devices.

  3. The Exchange will require Members to sign all tablets and batteries in and out daily.

  4. The Exchange will label all stored tablets and batteries with the Broker's Badge and a bar code.

  5. The Exchange will store limited number of spare tablets and batteries for Members units in case of an emergency (tablets break, etc.) and will require Members borrowing the spare units to sign a Wireless Handheld Spare Device Liability Agreement.

  6. NYMEX staff will be trained by the top ISVs on the software applications and tablets.
NYMEX staff will be available from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday for the distribution and collection of tablets and batteries and will be located in the room next to Trade Corrections on the NYMEX Division Trading Floor.

If you have not already done so, you may register your wireless handheld devices by downloading the Terms of Use and application located at http://www.nymex.com/wrless_reg.aspx. Please submit all completed registrations to Floor Operations Trading Processing area located on the 3rd Floor.
