On Tuesday, August 30, 2005, NYMEX established a daily price for its Henry Hub Swing Swap (“SN”) in accordance with its authority under NYMEX Rule 752.08. The use of this authority was invoked because Platts Gas Daily did not publish a daily price for the August 30th gas day.

NYMEX considered the best information available to it in determining an appropriate settlement price. NYMEX determined that the nearby Columbia Gulf, La. hub plus a basis adjustment was the best available substitute for the Henry Hub price for gas day August 30th. The basis of $0.055 was used and it was derived from the most recent differences in reported midpoint prices for Henry Hub and Columbia Gulf, La.
