New York Mercantile Exchange and HoustonStreet to Provide NYMEX ClearPort® Clearing Services for Domestic Crude Oil and Refined Products Markets
The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., the largest physical commodity exchange in the world, and HoustonStreet Exchange, Inc, the largest electronic marketplace for physical crude oil and refined products in the United States, announced today that HoustonStreet will serve as the front end electronic platform for 15 NYMEX ClearPort® petroleum products beginning October 10, 2005. Crude oil and refined products traders will now be able to execute transactions on HoustonStreet and have them cleared through NYMEX ClearPort®. The following NYMEX ClearPort® products will be available on HoustonStreet: West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil Calendar Swap West Texas Intermediate - Midland Crude Oil West Texas Sour Crude Oil Futures Light Louisiana Sweet Crude Oil Futures Mars Blend Crude Oil No. 2 Heating Oil Up-Down Spread Calendar Swap Unleaded 87 Gasoline Up-Down Spread Calendar Swap Gulf Coast No. 6 Fuel 3.0% Sulfur Swap Gulf Coast Gasoline Calendar Swap Gulf Coast Heating Oil Calendar Swap Gulf Coast Jet Fuel Calendar Swap U.S. Gulf Coast No. 2 Heating Oil Crack Spread Calendar Swap U.S. Gulf Coast Unleaded 87 Gasoline Crack Spread Calendar Swap Gulf Coast No. 6 Fuel Oil Crack Swap Gulf Coast Gasoline vs. Gulf Coast Heat Oil Spread Swap Participants will need to register for both NYMEX ClearPort® Clearing and HoustonStreet.
